    I think the building your own track thing was just a misunderstanding or misleading PR. You can open up more tracks but that seems to be it. I have lost some of my stamps because I didn't save before entering the final area (The pac-man bit), and it never gives you a chance to save past that...

    Yeah I found that out the hard way after around 2 hours, my own fault for not checking it sooner. Working fine now with Benighted's flike link. You can use the official reboot code (L+R+SELECT+START) to quickly check if the file creation worked.

    Just joined to say this seems to have fixed the saving on my M3 REAL, using the XPA patched version and 1.44 Sakura. Not got far on this setup yet, but the train is still working and I can see what I'd drawn on the map before rebooting. Thanks for the help!
