    some carts makes the ds reset when they are inserted in the slot, my r4 (clone) does that too it has something to do with the contacts, because sometimes it resets and sometimes not i doubt if there's a way to block this via software

    back to the 1MB thing 1Mbit = 1024 Kbits = 128KBytes (1 Byte = 8 bits) So, R4's 512KBytes (= 2048Kbits = 2Mbits) saves are more than enough
