    Take a good look inside the cartridge slot to check for any physical abnormalities. If not, put some isopropyl alcohol on the contacts of the cartridge and insert it a dozen times. Replacing the slot seems doable but not easy, you can find some guys on youtube and see if you can handle it.

    You could create 2 or 3 (as identical as possible) saves with to different pins and compare the saves to locate the offset. But I think brute forcing it on an emulator with a python script could be a nice little project.

    The emmummc reserves 32GB (the size of the mmc) for itself. Try to transfer a game from sd to system (in CFW). This will free up some space. Though investing in a bigger card would make life much easier.
