Hacking USB Loader Hard Drives - Call to coders

The surprising fact is that libfat and usbstorage use different routines to access the USB ports, as far as I could dig in the code. Therefore, I don't understand why the USB Loader doesn't rely on some already existing (and working) routines to access a USB HDD ...

Hacking USB Loader Hard Drives - Call to coders

And here we go ... This is the thread I have already spent some time mining everyone's report, and TBH, I couldn't find any matching pattern for unrecognized HDDs ... So, if i'm right : if the usbstorage can't get the right capacity, it's because it can't find the sector size ...

Oh btw : i'm trying to...

Hacking Tutorial: Compile your own USB Loader!

Guyz, do you all understand what you are doing ? We are talking here about recompiling a software. That means to have a little understanding about what compiling and setting up a compiler means. Hacking USB compatability - help improve CIOS usb support

Been hacking the source code to add a few debug messages. It seems USB Loader can't get the HDD size, and therefore exits with the "ret = -1" error (at least, that's what happens with my hardware) I need to get a hand on IOS (mainly ipc.c) functions to go further ...

Hacking Tutorial: Compile your own USB Loader!

Easily ? I don't think so. It displays on the standard output console, which has a default font. Any homebrew displaying to the console uses that same font so ...
