Non volatil game boy saves (done on Pokemon Yellow, but problem on Pokemon Gold)

Hello, glad to see there is still an interest for this mod :) Funny that you mention Pokemon Stadium. I'm still using my modded Pokemon Blue and Yellow, but recently discovered that they are now not compatible with Pokemon Stadium.

Hacking N3DS XL Firmware by version number

QEH1016 is a serial number from the first batch of MM LE, same for QEH1017. If you read the main post, you can see that even QEH1022 is safe (MM LE of course). The second batch serial numbers are QEH103X and up.

The method is from Riku, I just analysed the effect of his patch with an hex-editor in order to be able to apply it to other games. So, thank him, not me :3

ROM Hack [Release] AGB_FIRM Signature Patcher + GBA ROM Converter

You have to hex-edit your rom, as explained for Pokemon games. Then when your first launch the game, create a save data, the screen will be shaking, and you have to reboot the game to make it work. It will just say that your save is corrupt at every start up, but it works.

Hacking GBA Custom Games Compatibility List

I saw that, but I'm currently converting all my cartridges and I want to make my own .cia version. For now, I was not able to convert Pokemon FR/LG and Mario Bros. 3. It's funnier to do it myself :3 Thank you anyway !

Hacking GBA Custom Games Compatibility List

I know it won't save. Riku was able to recover save function on his game, that's why I'm asking him. PS: In Europe, we have a unique version, no 1.1, and my dump of bootleg fire red is a modified rom, in order to use the sram chip of another GBA game.

Hacking GBA Custom Games Compatibility List

( You should remove this link @AmeenX ) Regarding Pokemon games, I have dumped my two French cartridges: Fire Red bootleg and original Leaf Green, and I'm still not able to create a working game from them (I tried with and without patch). Is it possible to know what you did to your rom to make...

    Hardware GBA Backlight! (AGB-001)

A batch of third party screens was made some years ago, it was mainly available on Alibaba and Aliexpress, but now it is out of stock almost everywhere. With luck you can find one on eBay, or maybe on a website specialized in gameboy modding, but it will be expensive (I bought mine 30$, one year...

Hardware GBA and also GBC light mods (SP into GBA, Kitsch Bent to GBC)

You can see what the mod without LOCA looks like at the end of this video: If you plan to do it, buy a good LOCA glue (some people recommend a brand named OSAKA). Personally, I tried with a cheap LOCA found on ebay (it came in a red transparent tube), and the result was good at the beginning...

Hacking is there a way i can manually upgrade to 7.0-9.2

Yes sysnand. Pasta CFW works on sysnand. Don't try that on emunand, sysupdater warns you when you launch the application to not use it on emunand. To be sure, do these steps on a blank SD card, and you will be fine.

Hacking is there a way i can manually upgrade to 7.0-9.2

Download the complete firmware with 3DNUS (130 files if I remember right). Copy all files in a directory named "updates" at the root of your SD card. Launch Ninjhax, then PastaCFW. Install the cia of "sysupdater 0.3" via FBI. Launch PastaCFW again to acces sysupdater on your homemenu. Then...

Hardware GBA and also GBC light mods (SP into GBA, Kitsch Bent to GBC)

If you plan to frontlight your GBC with the kitsch bent kit, the LOCA is essential, in my opinion. It's quite hard to see through the panel without the LOCA. Here is a thread about it: https://gbatemp.net/threads/cgb-front-lighting-101-kitsch-bent-loca-mod.367705/ There is pictures comparing...
