Yea buying just a slot-1 flash cart doesnt mean u can play gba games. gba games uses slot-2 and m-3 perfect ^^ seems like the right choice. Im considering one myself
if ur gonig to stick to somethnig else other than the original os. then i can't help u there. but if u ever do want to switch back u can rename ur files to according to the filename of the rom.
i find it best to just use the original os and make sure u name ur roms with the numbers such as
2495 - final fantasy IV.nds
that way the save becomes
2495-~1.SAV
the tricky thing is some games have 3 save slots
which comes out to
2495-~1.SAV
2495-~2.SAV
2495-~3.SAV
trying to backup ur 3slot...
I saw a few or was it 2 versions of snes emulation on ds. But more specifically my goal is to play the final fantasy series, star ocean, top, and rpgs.
How do i go about doing this and is it 100% perfect emulation?
I want to see is it just me with the ~~~ .SAV filenames.
I want to see if roms better off named with spaces or with #### - name.nds
I want to see if its possible/how to backup scds-1 saves.
apparently im having the same problems also. all my saves are coming out with ~ ~~ ~ ~ ~ and everytime i back that up and reuse it, it just never works. I have no clue!
sigh i dunno what to do, all i ever known to use was the firmware given from the scds-1 site, i just want to play my ff4, backup my save, and load ar codes. =(
im doing all this for the sake of using AR code on my ff4.

what shud i do to get my ff4.scc working with it. I enabled it and tried renaming etc yet still the cheat menu doesnt come up. any suggestion
