Wii 3 is coming in March 2010 with 360 and PS3 backwards compatibility and will use Windows 7 for it's OS.

Never used Region free hacks but generally I just use freethewads on a japanese wad myself before putting it on my wii. If anything though i'd at least install preloader or if nothing else test it out on an emulator like Dolphin.

Perfect frame rate, sound. Perfectly playable in this state but graphics are glitchy (you'll be able to tell just by looking at it) - Using DX9 plugin as it's much worse (not performance wise, graphics wise) under OpenGL or even software rendering.
