Pre-orders open for the XBOX 25th Anniversary Collection

It's interesting that on the linked page they call original Xbox "Original Xbox" with a capital O. That's not its name.

Seems we're recompiling Wii games for iOS now

Yes you can side-load a limited number of apps and set-up an automatic re-signer so they normally work.

What are some other websites that someone who love this one might like?

I hate it, but most of the old web has gone. Social media killed it. There's a German-language site where people used to do some console hacks, but its name escapes me. As I recall it was gate-kept against non-Germans. The only other surviving site that immediately comes to mind that has loads...

How we cover AI-assisted projects - GBAtemp community check-in

The environmental hazard of slightly heating some water in a heat exchange? Stop regurgitating propaganda. Your apps have been doing the same thing for decades and the issues are already mitigated by controls - because they have to be. It's not the wild west. And learning isn't stealing. I'm...

Xbox to offer digital licences with physical disc purchases

The original intent was the disc would be locked to your account to prevent resale. This new idea is the opposite.

Gaming Pokemon Bank Shutting Down on February 26, 2027

The Switch has IR doesn't it? Why can't they add trade compatibility between the Switch games and the DS/3DS games through that?

Limited Edition Zelda-themed Switch 2 images have leaked online

ROM Hack Ocarina of Time 3D gets huge mod to enable single-screen play

It was an N64 game designed to be played on a single TV screen, later adjusted to better suit the 3DS. While the N64 version was criticised for needing the item menu too much in some locations, that's nothing compared to BotW and TotK, which are closer to football management games with their...

Gaming Mario Kart Tour is being retired

I didn't expect this to happen this year but here we are. The timing seems significant, with game preservation a hot topic this year. I wonder if there will be a community preservation effort like there was with Dragalia Lost. I never got into the game as the early release was too easy. I gave...

Sony is moving away from physical discs, will soon only release PlayStation games digitally

It's not really for getting stuff done, it's for showing the scale of opposition. If nothing else, a big response is a demonstration of sentiment to Nintendo, who are the only console company that hasn't announced plans for all-digital next gen.

Sony is moving away from physical discs, will soon only release PlayStation games digitally

You misinterpret the dichotomy. It's not money vs other. It's power vs other. 1782993623 Absolutely. Before retro got trendy I was getting old carts and discs for under a few dollars. Way cheaper than they were on Steam or eShop. I'm still not sure Retro is trendy. I only know a few people...
