that's where it went wrong.
the game saves the names to your save file, so it loaded the blank names instead of the ones in the game data.
you'll have to start a new game to get the names to show up.
yes, the titles folder.
if you're supposed to place something in a folder, and the folder doesn't exist, you make the folder yourself.
unless you start modifying games there's no reason for that folder to be there.

if you have luma, check out the locale emulation option.
it lets you change the region for individual games.
not quite.
by staying off-line you can wait out until either nintendo is done with the banning, or until their detection method is found and circumvented.
at that point it's as simple as turning on WiFi to get multiplayer back.
but if you stayed online and got banned you have to mess with...
.cia/.3DS files are not allowed here, they are copyrighted files and sharing them is illegal.
the xdelta file is a file that contains the difference between 2 files so it can be used to turn 1 file into the other.
in this case to use the patch you need the original clean game file(rip your own...

hans is not an option, it crashes the moment you select the game before you can even select what mods/settings to use.
there might be similar methods if you have a cfw, but you'd still need to download or rip the entire game because the patch is a "differences" file and not actual usable game...
i got the game a while ago hoping it would work through hans, but it was one of the few old games that would crash.

the translation looks good so far.
extra tip: make a homescreen layout backup(in home settings)
the sysnand restore resets game icons, you'll keep your folders but the games will be reset to the main screen.
i forgot, and now have to manually restore the layout using an old backup.
like me, he probably followed the guide to the letter and did rename it like that.
and that is exactly why it went wrong, the file needs to be named up_Decrypt9WIP.bin
