Hacking Are you looking to hack your Switch?

Nope. Not since I graduated and got a job to be honest. For softmodding: it just isn't worth the hassle. I work full-time and when I come home I want to play games. Not figure out how to softmod, while keeping up to date with the methods and updates. For a hardmod: no, I can afford games...

Can anyone help me read Chinese?

Ah, that has been different in the past. With people asking for question like that to be against the rules.

Can anyone help me read Chinese?

They hate people for asking things like this though, it's more a subreddit for people wanting to learn and practice Chinese.

Hardware Is my laptop reaally that bad?

Your RAM should be sufficient. But just keep in mind that, while there are some great names like "i7", "GTX950M", those are laptop versions. That means that they are slightly worse than a desktop version, being that they have to save some power. And, being a laptop, it is prone to warming up...

    Hacking Making Amiibo NTAG215s

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, but when I find the keys online, wth do I have to do with it? I've tried saving the whole file as a .txt, I've tried saving each key in the seperate named .bin file, but it says "Key file signature does not match" whatever I try.

Hacking Unsure what fw im on

Do you really think that in big projects like the firmware for a console, for a company as huge as Nintendo, where user experience is key, the developer makes ANY decision about what to place where? Hell, in small media companies I've worked at I couldn't do this.

Hacking Unsure what fw im on

How is "Oh my UX designer told me to put the "You should update" message where the firmware version normally is, let's do that" poor coding? For a software engineer your statement is a bit frustrating

Eeehh? How is that poor coding? If anything it is a poor UX / design choice.

Hardware [Tutorial] Access out-of-region eShop WITHOUT creating a new account

I think you could also totally do [email protected], xtheman+jpn, xtheman+eur. And they will all be caught by your [email protected] main address. (I don't know if Nintendo allows this, but thought I'd let you know, it's a handy trick from gmail) EDIT: Aaaaaaaand I was beat to it by Mr...

Gaming I did not know there was a 4th star when upgrading armor...

Still sucks, there is no indication of how far they are at all. So I mostly end up sneaking across the entire map in search of one (while the slate keeps beeping), only to end up chasing it away because some monster attacks me at the very last moment/

Gaming I did not know there was a 4th star when upgrading armor...

I must say, that for the first 3 ingredients, I either already had the ingredients, or they were pretty easy to get. For the fourth though, it feels awfully grindy... Suddenly I have to have 15 of some flower... PER item, so that's 45 of them. besides some fruits and monster parts, I've never...

Hardware [REVIEW] Skinit.com "Switch Safe" Skins

Looks nice, but that's also quite the Zelda spoiler in your pictures man. I didn't know that certain armor was in the game as I avoid zelda-threads.

Parents confiscated gadgets and can't find them!

I remember my mother losing my confiscated iPod Nano about ~10 or 11 years ago. Later she admitted (a few years back) that she probably accidentally threw it away when she was recycling paper (there were some newspapers on the table and she threw it on one, then put one on top of it probably)...

Hardware The Joy-Cons are near-perfect controllers to play games relaxed

I was a bit afraid that the Joy-Cons would be too small, as some Dutch reviews mentioned. However, not only did I not want to spend another 60 euro's to a controller, they were sold out as well on launch. But: when I started playing with the Joy-Cons in the grip, all that fear immediately...

    Hardware Joycons on linux/PC?

I'm more interested if they would work with Android as Gear VR controllers, that would be pretty cool.

    Pokemon Duel Now Available

I think you mean storage, as memory is often refered to when talking about RAM. Anyway, the app itself is 77.7MB on my device, and it contains 176MB of game data. (That it downloads when you start it)
  17. Wabsta

Why do people refer to the Pokemon series as "Pokemon Go"?

This is always how it goes. Same went for my SNES and later even N64 being called "Gameboy" by my mother; Everything gaming was called a Gameboy.

Hardware Cheap chinese Wiimotes - Worth it?

I've had a LOT of cheap chines wiimotes. And that is because they don't really last. Some of them were / are really good. Got them when the Wii was ~1 year old. And they're still being used from time to time at my mother's place. They were a bit more expensive, iirc, and from DealExtreme, and...

    Hacking 11.1.0-34 firmware update out

What is not totally clear for me: I have al9h with Luma3DS. That has firmware update protection. But earlier in the thread someone said that my CFW will work, but homebrew will not. Will my HBLauncher (which I have installed as a CIA) not work anymore? And what about other homebrew installed...
