Just curious if a cia version of Cubic Ninja or Zelda Ocarina can be used to to trigger those exploits for the Gateway on a N3DS.
I know the carts can do it and the Sky3DS/Roms can do it as well, but can a cia of either of those two do it to?
A few last questions.
Th sd card I backed the game on was formatted to Fat32. Is that why the game split because of its limitations? If I format to exFat will it back it up as a single file?
Gotcha.
So to join into 1 file, it is...
copy /b mirai.3d0 + mirai.3d1 mirai.3dz
Exactly like that... spaces, plus and all? Also... Does it have to be a .3dz or can it be a .3ds?
Now now everybody. I'll play devils advocate.
Do I even need to combine them back to 1 large file or can I just put both files onto the root of the sd card?
So I backed up my Project Miria cart through my Gateway and instead of giving me a single .3ds file... It gave me two files. A .3D0 file and .3D1 file and both are around 2 gigs each. This is new to me. Can someone explain why?
One last related question...
Doesn't the Gateway do firmware spoofing? I tried Puzzle & Dragons normally on my 9.0 system and it asks to update to 9.5... Then i tried through Gateway (emuNAND 9.0) and it loaded perfectly. So do we really need to do the update?
Saw this earlier...
To separate emunand from sysnand, boot into sysnand, go to settings and on the last page (with the format option). Once you're there, remove the SD Card from the 3DS then format the 3DS (it'll require an internet connection but won't update, don't worry). Once it's...
Nah, just talking exploit/hacker stuff. Like BigBlueMenu and sysUpdater. Seems that every time that I go back into emuNAND that they return to gifts and I have to open them up. Annoying and thought that I might as well just dump them.
So I don't have to delete cia files through BigBlueMenu or the like. I can delete something like sysUpdater through the normal system way but while in emuNAND.
Sound right.
I was able to do this last night exactly like the above directions state, along with the help by Simplicity and Xenon Hacks, and it worked perfectly. No hiccups at all. My emuNAND is now on 9.5.
This leaves me with a few questions though...
1. Doesn't the Gateway do firmware spoofing? I tried...
I am curious though. Why do you have to hold up when booting into Gateway Mode? Wouldn't it do the same without that? I mean boot into GW mode, load the cart and when it asks, do the update?
Yes. Got a few N3DS's over the weekend on 9.0. Already got the Cubic Ninja exploit going so I can boot into the Gateway menu. Did my systemNAND backup this morning. Now I wanted to do the emuNAND. That is why I had all these questions.
So boot into the Gateway menu. Choose Gateway Mode (as opposed to Classic Mode) while holding up.
Then it should boot back the main menu of the system (in GW3D mode of course). I should then be able to hit select and launch the Code Name Stream rom.
So to do this...
1. Boot N3DS into gateway emuNAND.
2. Load up the Code Name Steam rom
3. Click yes when it wants to update.
Now, we are sure that it will update the emuNAND and not the systemNAND?
I haven't played my Switch n a month or so, just been playing Xbox, and just picked to play lil and Damn that A and B, X and Y being reversed always gets me.
I agree Tears is great. I even played thru it completely twice. I've been hooked on playing thru Fallout 4 again though, after they released the next gen version for Series S/X. Is pretty cool update.
because I already got burned out with breath of the wild, which for the most part is essentially the same game, and then again with master mode, which doesn't work as a new game plus (that always felt bizarre to me)
