The web browser is one thing you really shouldn't run an outdated versions of, so its not really good advice to help people stop their browser from updating. Look what is possible with webkit exploits on the Wii U for example.
The current best long term solution would be to use a non Chromium...
Well you have taught me something there, I had no idea you could ever video chat on the Wii U!
It's kinda crazy how on the DS you could voice chat when trading Pokemon, video call on the Wii U, yet online functionality / communication on the Switch still seems so primitive.
Great story :)
You have to partition your SD card, so will need to backup the data on it first (copy it to your PC) you can copy it back after however.
Follow the instructions here: https://wiki.switchroot.org/wiki/android/11-r-setup-guide
If you have kept your 3DS online in a certain game some still do currently work. You can still currently wonder trade on Pokemon X / Y, however if you get disconnected that's it, you won't be able to reconnect.
I used floppy disks in the 90s / early 2000's.
The first computer we got was an Amiga 500 that used 3.5" 720k floppies for everything. You could get hard drives for the Amiga, however that was not something we had. Games were loaded from floppies, sometimes multiple depending on the game.

I believe Denuvo has supported the Nintendo Switch for a while and was supposed to stop emulation I believe was the selling point to developers. Do any Switch games actually make use of it?
Unless private keys leak from Microsoft you can't put a modded firmware on the hard drive and install it on a non modded Xbox 360. The non modded Xbox 360 will just ignore anything not digitally signed.
I suspect it does run Android, this deleted tweet said: "Turns out they had some custom code that attempted to prevent apk installation, but I could bypass it: https://t.co/0B38HRaaaw"
APK's are Android packages.
Honestly I think that would be pretty awesome, even more so if it allowed all past Xbox, Xbox 360 / Xbox One games that are supported one the Series consoles to be played on Windows.
Its nice that a lot of newer Xbox games work on Windows, however as someone who has a long HDMI lead connecting...
Usually when I log in to my Google account on a new device it will prompt on my mobile, however it will also give the option to enter a code from my authenticator app, or use one of the recovery codes generated when 2FA was enabled.
The phone might have had to have been offline or not accessed...
People might hate Meta / Facebook, however WhatsApp is fully end to end encrypted with the Signal Protocol so Facebook or the government can't read your messages in transit, even if they wanted to. At best they can get metadata such as the time a message was sent, however not the content of the...
Switch gamecarts include firmware updates, so in theory you could update your Switch to a certain firmware version with the Mig Switch.
This site includes the firmware version on the gamecart: https://nswdb.com/
I wonder if Pokebank / Transporter will eventually stop working due to requiring SSL certificate updates? I suspect with no way to update them it could eventually happen.
Hopefully these remain around for years to come as it will be sad to see 20+ years of backwards compatibility between...
Good point, I purchased my OnePlus 5T back in the day with support in mind.
Having used roms since the CyanogenMod days back in 2010 that could used to be the case. These days I do feel that if a device is (officially) supported by LineageOS then everything does actually work in my experience...
I do totally agree with you. LineageOS and GrapheneOS with its Sandboxed Google Play are certainly the way to go. Clearly that does not solve the issue of actually owning anything you buy, however it goes a long with to counter the invasive control cooperation's have over your device, which is...
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
