DS #2230: The World Ends With You (Europe)

From what I can tell, only some tracks are different. Most are the same. They're seperate files anyway - if you just want to change the voices, then they're in \Data\Sound\sound_data.sdat, whereas all the music is in \Data\*.adx I swapped the lot.

    Hacking Semi-Brick Fix

As far as I know, the only way to fix semi-bricks is to run a disc that has a newer version firmware from your own region. So if you have a US NTSC console, and you've incorrectly updated to 3.2E firmware for example, then you'd need a disc that contains a 3.3U update. Edit: FWIW, if you've...

DS #2230: The World Ends With You (Europe)

I'm up to day 3 now, and really starting to like this game. The controls are growing on me the more I fight the noise.

DS #2230: The World Ends With You (Europe)

I put the Japanese voices and music in the EU ROM, that made him a lot less emo I found. Changing the sounds is easy too - unpack both ROMs with DSlazy or DSbuff, go into the 'data' directory, and copy all the ADX files in there, plus the Sounds directory from the Japanese ROM to the EU ROM...

    Gaming SSMB on 480p

If you have a PAL Wii: 1. Set your Wii to 576i (50Hz) for now, then start Brawl 2. Go to the settings and turn off deflickering 3. Reset the Wii to 480p 4. Start Brawl again It'll switch to 480i for the wrist strap warning and loading screens, then should switch back to 480p for the intro.

    Wii #0642 - Okami (USA)

a.b.boneless The only search it shows up for me on says it's incomplete though.

    Wii #0642 - Okami (USA)

Do you only have to run Freeloader once though? Or do you have to run it every time you put the disc in to prevent the update?

    Wii #0642 - Okami (USA)

I got sick of waiting for the newsgroups, so I'm grabbing it from BCG instead.

DS #2226: Shion no Ou : The Flowers of Hard Blood (Japan)

It's based off an anime and manga series of the same name (Shion no Ou) revolving around a girl who plays shougi (think a Japanese version of chess). For what it's worth, the anime was far from interesting.

    Hacking DS Lite power/charge/wifi LEDs

I'm planning on doing a few mods to my DS, one of which is replacing the power and wifi LEDs with blue ones. Just can't find any details anywhere on what voltage and current ratings I should be replacing the SMD LEDs with. Anyone know?

Wii #0635 - Mario Kart (Europe)

No it's not. Are you using a scrubbed or otherwise modified ISO?

    Gaming Mario Kart Friend codes

^^ What Bob said. I had a quick game earlier today, not one other player was from Australia, yet no lag problems at all.

Gaming MKWii + PAL Wii + Freeloader

It's most likely wrong. I can confirm (at least for the PAL version) that it didn't install a single update on my console. It's still IOS36, and still boots trucha signed discs (and therefore, the Freeloader).

    Gaming Noob Noob Question

The disc isn't in a format that Windows can read, so yeah, that's normal. Try it in a chipped Wii.

    Gaming Mario Kart Online

Same errors here, was working fine earlier in the day. I'm just guessing Nintendo have decided to cripple everything till it's officially released.

Wii #0635 - Mario Kart (Europe)

Well I can confirm 100% that my Wii after: - having run an unpatched burn of Mario Kart - been online in Mario Kart - and installed the Mario Kart Channel is still running IOS36 (says the duplicate channel remover), and No More Heroes -- signed with Trucha Signer -- still boots just fine...

    Hardware Wii-Clip discount for GBAtempers

Interesting.. the D2CKey team don't make new versions of the firmware publicly available though do they?

Wii #0635 - Mario Kart (Europe)

Some people already got their preorders early. Wouldn't it be a little unfair if Nintendo banned them too?

Wii #0635 - Mario Kart (Europe)

Just burn it, pop it in, update to 3.2E and play. I'd prolly update that Wiikey to 1.9s first though.
