    Hacking HBC black screen after updating to 4.1

    I was on 3.3 I used Waninkoko's updater to update to 4.1. It seems to have installed correctly, but now the homebrew channel won't load (I get a black screen). USB loader still works, though. I have a nand backup so I can start over if need be. Any idea where I went wrong? I found a similar...

    Hacking will usb hard drive compatibility improve?

    I have a maxtor one-touch II that only works if I turn it on while the loader is searching for the device. If it is on before that it won't detect it. I gather that those of you using "compatible" hard drives can just leave them on all then time without having to do anything funky like I am...
