    SFC with APU error. Swapped 4 of the sound chips before I got the correct sram one. Part of a lot I got from Japan. It was the cleanest one of the bunch and thought it would be the one that worked but nope. The one that worked was the dirtiest one. Go figure! Also, recapped.

    Should have mentioned that I did try swapping the cart slot with my working sfc and the issue remains. The power adapter is genuine and I get between 12-14v when measured.

    I usually leave mine at 380 C. Some might consider it too hot but as long as you use a light touch it shouldn’t knock any components off. Use tweezers to hold it all in place if needed. Adding a dab of solder to the tip of the iron will help a bit too.

    Use plenty of flux and pre tin the pads. Seat the cable in place and just touch it with the iron. Not as hard as it seems. Was pretty intimidated the first time I installed one as well.

    Probably better off changing your only intake fan into an exhaust fan. I mean it’s good to add fresh air inside but with no fan to extract it, it’s just being heated up to circulate inside. The stock intel heat sink and fan is also not very adequate for more than just general computer use...

    Try it with the top side pll point. I had similar issues every time I tried to use the bottom. Not exactly sure what causes it. You can also try lowering the resistor value as this has also yielded better boot times on some consoles.

    They’re knock offs but for the price they work pretty good. Sure, I’ve already had to fix and put a new sd reader on the fxpak but for the price compared to actual everdrives I can’t complain too much. If I didn’t have extra parts and know how to solder it would have been an issue.
