Pokémon Crystal gets a PC port titled "suiCune" based on C/C++ language

Yeah makes sense. Sadly with both my low tier hardware, and even worse my very limited budget I can't even afford the $20/m one. It's good to know though for later on, same for Codex too.

Pokémon Crystal gets a PC port titled "suiCune" based on C/C++ language

I wish I could. I really want to make better use of Claude but I'm awfully limited by the downtimes of 5 hours, and worse yet that I can't run any model locally due to having shit hardware to work with. I heard really good things about Codex too, but that one seems to have a waiting list, and...

Pokémon Crystal gets a PC port titled "suiCune" based on C/C++ language

How did you feed the whole source code to Claude so it could port it in one prompt?

Their fault for not making them in the first place.

Pokémon Crystal gets a PC port titled "suiCune" based on C/C++ language

There's interest in inner development groups to work over the PRET project for Platinum to make a PC port too, so that will come eventually.

Pokémon Crystal gets a PC port titled "suiCune" based on C/C++ language

Continuing with the great news of Pokémon Platinum getting a native unofficial PC port just a few days ago, today, yet another classic title from the franchise has made its debut on PC hardware as well, with the latest title being none other than Pokémon Crystal. Originally started out by...

Pokemon Platinum PC port gets a surprise release

Now we just need a proper port of Following Renegade Platinum and we'll have the definitive version of Platinum available for all systems. Also, I'd love to see something like a one screen implementation of the game, to avoid having to rely on both screens/touch screens when playing.

Tutorial How to run Resident Evil 3 (1999) SourceNext/GOG with Classic Rebirth and Seamless HD Project on Linux systems

When you got the GOG version through Heroic, did you select the Japanese version? If you don't you're gonna end up with missing files. Once you get the Japanese GOG version, you can start moving the files as recommended here. That should work.

Tutorial How to run Resident Evil 3 (1999) SourceNext/GOG with Classic Rebirth and Seamless HD Project on Linux systems

How are you running the game? Through Lutris? You need to set the Proton GE 9.25 version inside the Wersja Wine option, not in the Wlasny one.

Tutorial How to run Resident Evil 3 (1999) SourceNext/GOG with Classic Rebirth and Seamless HD Project on Linux systems

You need Proton GE 9.25 specifically, that or Proton 9 (Beta) but that one is harder to come by. Any other Proton version won't work with RE3 HD.

ROM Hack Metroid: Other M Redux (Based on Maxximum Edition)

    1. I'd recommend using Wii Backup Manager to convert the WBFS back to an ISO. Or maybe even Dolphin can extract the data from the WBFS? If Dolphin can do so, then extract all the data using Dolphin. Once you have all the data extracted you can continue with the patching process to create a new...

Tutorial How to run Resident Evil 3 (1999) SourceNext/GOG with Classic Rebirth and Seamless HD Project on Linux systems

You need the custom bio3hd asi file for Linux. Also, make sure you're using Proton GE 9.25 as that one has the exact dxvk version required for it to work.

The original classic Resident Evil trilogy is now available on Steam

You can actually run all 3 on Linux, all you need to do is manually install the registry file through Winetricks or Protontricks, and they work. RE3 even works out of the box, with only requiring adding dinput8 as wine DLL override so the controls work fine.

Oh I did know about BoF4, but to be frank, I completely forgot to mention it on the article haha

Mod killing is a bit of an exaggeration, you can simply switch the EXE and you're good to go.

The original classic Resident Evil trilogy is now available on Steam

In what seemed like a weird choice for a release date, Capcom pleased a lot of their RE fanbase by shadowdropping not one, not two, but the entire original Resident Evil classic trilogy from the PlayStation 1 days right on Steam. On April 1st, 2026, out of nowhere and without notice, Capcom...

"Resurrection: A Biohazard Story" fanfilm is now available on YouTube

Almost a year ago, back in April, 2025, the Residence of Evil YouTube channel started their IndieGogo campaign for their "Resurrection" fan film, which aimed to bring back the original live-action cast from the very first Resident Evil to reprise their roles, and today, that fan film is now a...

ROM Hack Metroid: Other M Redux (Based on Maxximum Edition)

Hi there! Glad you're enjoying the project, I'll try to address your points: 1. This is a known issue, and one that should be possible to fix, but I haven't found out what part of the code, or which file, is in charge of loading which model for the in-game cutscenes post-Sector Zero. It's on...
