Nintendo confirms a new Switch 2 model is in the works to better comply with EU regulation

As an EU citizen, I think that the bigger issue is that basically all of the politicians are educated as lawyers (or similar jobs). They are pretty disconnected from reality and even tho they're lawyers, often they pass laws that are against more important laws and then they have to be adjusted.

Things you recently bought or got

It's a "physical amiibo emulator", similar to n2 elite etc. But with a screen and rechargeable battery (might depend on the version tho). I haven't used it much for now.

Things you recently bought or got

According to the post I linked, Wii U is supported. And I also got an output file when I tried to dump it. But I'm not sure about what to do with it, because it's an encrypted iso but for Wii U, ISO is usually not used. Also, dumping BDs really takes ages. But that's what you "pay" for proper...

Things you recently bought or got

It's been a while since my last post in this thread, so here are some of my purchases during the last few months First of all, I bought a few more games. I was hoping to buy a few more switch games, but prices for them still are very high. With the age of the switch I'd expect them to drop...

    Maybe wrong ROM?

Is it still necessary to make a closed gaming system?

They will be made as long as people keep their "Console has no exclusives so it's not worth it"-mentality. People are shooting themselves into the foot and even bragging publically about it...

    Misc Cody's Game Youtube Video?

You probably mean Bob's game. There is even a demo of the DS version available. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob%27s_Game

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

Nope. Only "emulated RTC". The time passes each time the RTC is read. But battery replacements cost maybe 3 bucks and then you can replace the battery twice until you reached the price of the fram version. Also, in 10 years there might be other flashcarts people use. But yeah. Personally I also...

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

The FRAM version doesn't have an internal battery. And it's really a question of preference considering that the battery in SRAM versions will probably last about 10 years.

[WIP] SuperChis —— Open source GBA TF Flashcart

I have the FRAM version from the first post. It seems to work exactly like the SRAM version just without a battery. Neither the SRAM nor the FRAM version have a RTC. Both have a workaround with the emulated RTC, but it's only a workaround. It would be cool if solar, rumble and gyro would work...

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

You can use the normal SuperFW recovery tools for DS. They support the Superchis for a few weeks.

    GBA EZ-Flash

Sounds like a formating issue. Which kernel/firmware numbers does the ez-flash air show in the menu? (You can get to the right tab by pressing L/R)

Hardware SuperChis Prime: How I Fixed the SuperCard SD's Flaws on a Budget

But Nintendo DS consoles have a RTC chip. And if you boot the supercard into DS mode, I'm sure that you can read the DS clock. And then you can set the "simulated time" of the SC to the DS' time.

An idea for the future: update the RTC time when the card is booted in DS mode

SuperFW: a custom firmware for Supercard

Saving the settings doesn't seem to work with v0.20 with a superchis prime card. It can't read previously saved settings and every time I save the new settings, a new folder called ".superfw" gets created but there is an error. Update: it also can't read GBA games or firmware updates anymore...

Emulation Homebrew How good is the twilight menu gba emulator?

Twilight uses gbarunner for GBA support so compatibility will be the same

    Homebrew [Release] PicoDrive for 3DS

Yeah. But you have more potential for extra features in 3ds mode and the scaling of ds mode is not very good which is an issue that can't be resolved. Everything in DS mode simply can't look as good as 3ds mode stuff.

    Homebrew [Release] PicoDrive for 3DS

Using emulators included in twilightmenu doesn't make much sense on 3DS: they run in DS mode and are limited in processing power and screen resolution because of that. It's like emulating consoles on DS in GBA mode. I guess that for example using retroarch would work much better.
