I feel you, I can't load up Chrome without it hogging a crapton of memory for a single tab and multiple processes on top! Why does it even need 300MBs and 6 processes just to load Google?:/

This is literally why I stopped using Chrome. When I bought a brand new laptop and saw just how much of my RAM was being used by it, I switched back to Firefox.

I like Chrome. But the memory it uses is absurd. Though turning off Hardware Acceleration in the settings dropped about 10% of memory. It's something at least.
