    @sarkwalvein They moved their HQ to San Francisco About a year or so ago, and now kiss up to Kotaku and Polygon(iespecailly the former's) inane garbage dialog and virtue signaling about many things involing vidya. They are substantially-severely hurting themselves and PS4 sales this way.

    Some people on 4chan, reddit, voat, and youtube are claiming that Virtual console will not be supported on the Switch.

    I think they're calling them Nintendo Classics or whatnot, with added online support.

    But that's true, "virtual console" will not be supported, but emulation will be there under a different banner.
    AFAIK, Nintendo won't try to put all retro games from different consoles and companies together like in the past, but only do it with their games.

    Meanwhile they will let other companies, like SEGA or Hamster, do whatever they want for emulation of other systems.
    I.e. it is not "virtual console" anymore, it's just emulation under no banner like it was there already in the days of the PS1.
