1. Spoken language is more than simply communicating literal information. Tone/intonation, speed, and other aspects of speech can provide immense amounts of information that can't be communicated through captioned text alone, or even radically alter the meaning of speech.

2. I don't think that it's controversial to suggest that the original spoken language of a film/show/game/whatever will contain these aspects of speech that more closely represent the intentions of the creator of the work than dubbed speech would do.

3. It's not about whether Japanese or English/whatever language voice acting is 'better', as this is largely subjective, but that voice acting in the original language better respects the creative intent of the authors of the work, which many people care about.

For 1, then why do people like to dub Ace Attorney and other visual novels. Why do they even add voice acting in the first place? Because it can speak more better than text.
