Well it isn't really whooping ass, just standing on it's own legs. Very strong legs mind you. 3DS didn't skip leg day.

It's a pretty big sales margin, and the DS whooped the PSP's ass too. The nintendo handhelds are just better supported and have more games. Being kid friendly helps too.
