I was going to say ImGui is a C++ GUI and GIMP uses Python, but apparently there's pyimgui wrapper that takes care of that use case. The more you know

For daw stuff Reaper is a pretty good free software then you got FL studio and protools etc... There's an app called bandlab that has some pretty impressive feature but covered in ads it's like using GBAtemp but used to mix audio.
