Thanks a ton man! You are probably my favorite guy on this forum! For future reference, you seem to be well versed, do you mind if I ask you about modeling etc if I have issues in the future?
Sure. Though the main program I use is 3DS Max. So that's really the only program I'm versed with. So I can't help much with issues related to blender/other free modeling apps
yes it should be banner.bin. You can compare to a normal banner in a hex editor if you want to make sure it's the correct file. But yes, bannertool's output is the same banner.bin you use in your unpacked exefs.
Alright... I did that... THE FILE DOESN'T HAVE MY BANNER. How can I change out the icon for mine? I think it wants to use icon instead of my 3d banner.
Sorry for my slow respone. Was busy with some other things. I took a look. First your banner needs to be called banner.bin and be in the exefs folder when you pack it. I assume "my_banner.bin" was the file you intended to use as your banner" If so there is problems with it.
First, the scale is wrong. The banner model is way too large so it may have simply clipped past the camera and wasn't visible on the 3DS. Second it's missing faces. Make sure all edges are set visible or you will have faces randomly missing when you view the banner on the 3DS. As for getting the scale correct. Import an existing banner into your 3d Modeler to use as a reference point.
