Yes. Just rename to CGFX and use with bannertool.

SWEET! Thanks! I was just curious because I was going to make FBI with a 3D banner like someone suggested you do on some ISO 3DS website! Now... how would I insert it into fbi.cia?

I wouldn't know. I hadn't been able to repack working homebrew CIAs. Usually the proper way to recompile the source code of FBI with the new icon. Repacking CIAs of homebrew using RSF files and such didn't get me anywhere when it comes to homebrew CIAs.

Hmm... that IS weird... I saw you did devmen "BBM" and others, was that not homebrew? not to put you on the spot.

I used a modified version of 3DS Builder to rebuild those. I only started doing that recently though. By modified I mean it builds CCI files that don't use any encryption so that I can convert them to CIA and have them work in CFW (since zero key encrypted stuff doesn't work in CFW. That was a Gateway only feature)

I haven't tired it on homebrew yet. I guess it could work?

Where is the 3DS Builder? I'm curious and I'd like to give this a try! I'd love to spruce up FBI!

Try building a CCI of it using this:

Then use makerom -ccitocia command to convert to cia. ;)

Don't use that to build CCIs for use on gateway card though. Gateway card expects zero key or retail key encrypted CCIs. Unencrypted CCIs from gateway card are not supported. So just be aware of that.
