I got sick of switching between emunand and sysnand and having to worry about updating the console when my friends invite me to play online, and not breaking stuff when messing with the files when I'm feeling very impatient. Call me lazy but I just want the convenience of plug and play, especially when my headspace is not in a perfect place.
I stopped pirating games on PC too as a strict precaution for not getting viruses.
As of why I pirated them in the first place, buying Switch games here in brazil is like buying a house. Also I never feel good about giving money to Nintendo

Mario Party Superstars here is R$ 329.90, Tears of the Kingdom is R$ 389.90 and the Switch 2 version is R$ 439.90. For reference, minimum wage here currently is R$ 1.621.00.
