I went the complete opposite direction back in Gen 6. I managed to get the full Pokedex exclusively using GTS trades lol

@x65943 yep, all OT means I'm the original trainer. That also means no event Pokemon which often have different OT names.
If one were to start completely from scratch today, every Pokemon is obtainable between the Switch games and Pokemon GO without relying on trades or events except for Zarude.
But luckily for me, I got Zarude in PoGo a few years ago from a special research.

Edit: Actually, I just did some research and I might have hit a snag. There are two Pokemon in Scarlet/Violet that are only available during events and the last one ended in January.
