I know you're probably all over it, but the 1st episode of Fallout was fantastic, the gore, the humor, the subplots, the characters, all of it stands on its own. also i like how it isn't copying/following the source material word for word (nor should it), this way it is expanding the FO universe while being unpredictable and keeping things interesting.
can't wait for the next episode! (and the rest of it)
