There is currently no dark theme, if you are seeing one on your PC it's probably a browser plugin

To test this you can log into GBAtemp on a separate browser and see the website is white

Huh. I guess I installed an addon called Dark Reader at some point.
Definitely putting that on my laptop too. It works great.

Well, Opera can force dark theme in everything, and I think Chrome could? Can't remember, it's been years since I used Chrome.
But guess you fixed it.

Oh, I remember why I installed it. My eyes were hurting and the only way I could use the PC was by turning the screen brightness way down and browsing everything in dark mode.

You're confusing two different confusing systems, let me demistify this for you.

1. Native dark mode that the page can automatically infer from your browser settings (light/dark/auto) -- this XenForo theme does use it
2. Injected dark mode using addons like Dark Reader, by default only active on websites without the former
