Hello there, Discord is a mess is a bunch of messages but no way to find anything on them, the people asking the same again and again for ever. no way to get some useful meaning on the history.

So for me a well formed forum, with index and searching is ideal for projects. for code a Git is the most accessible way to store.

Accessing information.. I see. This can be easily done by utilizing it's forwarding feature and provided that you have a place of your own, you're able to forward information someone sends and put it inside of your own place. That, or copying the message link is a better alternative.

Discord is a tenuous place to archive information. If a Discord gets taken down for arbitrary rule-breaking, fills to capacity, or the invite expires, then that's a lost line of data. You can archive older forums for other users to find later. But if you're not there in the moment, a

Discord server might go down and if you come across it years later, everything will be lost. It's a nightmare for preservationists, let alone how Discord reads your messages and uses your personal data.

Chary I completely forgotten the preservational aspect of that~~~ with that along with Discord taking your information (doesn't everything take our info nowadays?), now I can see why forum members don't want to use the platform.
