OH LMAO you're good, i'm not the biggest sonic fan out there, i walked out after forces, but when FP came out
it genuinely reminded me of what i liked about sonic and other games as well, this series is a big love letter to alot of games and i owe it the world, and trust me you will enjoy the second game as it improves on anything you can name from the first!

Shantae, digimon cyberslueth, Zelda, Mario (moreso the rpgs but the platformers are undoubtedly great),
Final Fantasy, DMC, Kingdom Hearts, Megaman X, Megaman Battle Network, i like pokemon as well but have honestly been getting kinda drained from it tbh

Shantae, Zelda, Megaman X/Battle Network, and Pokemon are games that I like. However, the only Pokemon generations that I like are 2, 4, 5, and 7. Anything beyond 7 is just boring

i have a pretty strong connection with gen 3 but i do respect what the gens before and after have done for the franchise, and i agree that after 7 it got boring as i was at first not a fan of 7 but i played a few times more during summer of 2021 and i love it now and i understand why others do as well.

Gen 3 is another amazing one, but I have yet to play that one yet... I will soon! 6 is the same thing, 7 is amazing cause of the diversity within the characters

i think one of the main reasons i like gen 3 is because of alot of the experimentation they did in that one gen, as there's alot of features that its positively overwhelming and if you have a RTC it has alot of other stuff you can do so you never go hungry with this game, it'd be peak if it had online play though

That's when Gen 7's remakes come in! I also remember a ROM hack of at least emerald that made a theoretical online play akin to Gen 9's connectitivy but I forgot the name of the rom hack.

someone was working on delta emerald for 3ds but it never really kicked off, i met one dude in a pokemon 3ds modding discord
who had also planned to make it and from what he said he got pretty far and was gonna upload it to game banana but that was a year ago and it's safe to say he probably scrapped it for some reason
