Is that French, or Spanish? Can't tell.
And "po po" is her catchphrase, looks like.

And yeah, it's been years since I last played Animal Crossing - I haven't booted up my 3DS in years, and I refuse to play New Horizons due to how much it's butchered.
I really did enjoy New Leaf, back in the day; such a great game.

It's French, the cedilla is the quickest thing that gives it up

"Cedilla"? Never heard of that before - are you talking about the "Ç", the 'c' with the squiggle accent underneath?
If you are...huh, good to know that it's a French accent, not Spanish.

Spanish lacks the cedilla and only has one type of diacritical marks, unlike French which has 3

yah, it’s French. i don’t know any Spanish haha.

New Horizons is kinda weird for me, i want to play that game but i never rly feel motivated to do it like i do with New Leaf..
i wouldn’t say it’s butchered but they carry a different energy i think.

"Different energy" might be a good way to put it - Horizons focuses way more on creativity/customisability, as you can alter practically every aspect of town - the environment, where villagers put their houses, town design, even the designs of villager homes. It does all this...at the severe cost of the place feeling like an actual town.
