For dev I've tried...
- Creating a TAD with multiple versions of maketad
- Booting from the normal home menu, SD with nds-bootstrap, direct boot in gm9i, and through AppJumpChecker (dev app)
- Installing with NTM (edited to install to the 00030017 folder)

For retail I've tried...
- Installing a retail encrypted TAD with TwlNmenu (installs fine as it was made for retail, but only boots on dev)
- Installing with NTM (edited to install to the 00030017 folder, also tried 00030015)
- Booting from normal home menu, unlaunch, hiyaCFW, nds-bootstrap, direct boot in gm9i

One of my friends also tried installing a matching stage2 bootloader just in case since it was in the same directory as the rest of the system apps. No luck. Source code doesn't make it seem like there should be any errors.

I've also had cartridges inserted in case the launcher was trying to autoboot to those (like the X4).

The weirdest part of all is that in no$gba (assuming it doesn't crash in the first place ) if you manage to boot Unlaunch from your NAND image (impossible to get working without crashing, but it does rarely boot), it will actually boot these menus there, but not on real hardware with the exact same setup (white screen, even though both NAND and SD match byte for byte).

And I *know* that the app does get properly decrypted on real hardware, as if I corrupt the app, WiFi LED doesn't turn on, but if I don't corrupt it, it does turn on.

Super weird!

Oh, so the wifi LED means that the program is doing something before crashing?
