I don't understand. It's considered vandalism to wipe my own messages?
I just wanted a few of them to not be attached to my username anymore as they are either stupid or offensive.

Best thing to do is report the posts you want us to delete, going on a self delete spree is a wrong thing to do, consider the fact that it can destroy entire threads if it would contain valuable information for the subject at hand.
Honestly, you'd be suprised how relaxed the staff is when it comes to wanting your own posts deleted
