well, there are actually two that keeps the Wii VC candle burning... yeah, it's me (@SaulFabre) and my friend @Zorg1996
Hey @stev418, i have a question: how did you actually made GBx VC using VBA-GX and also integrated VBAGX and the rom in only one WAD?
Haha you reading my mind... I was actually seeing if the tools ever got released. Memory is fading a bit but almost certail AlexLH had the main tool and was a bit of a gaurded secret. I was able to work out how to make and add the animated GBx save files, that was my only contribution on that one.
@stev418
I see. Reading some GBAtemp i saw GBx VC was "closed source", but it was a huge shame since you guys were starting GBx VC using a project which was already open-source, which it was VBA GX. (Why make a project closed-source when starting from another project which was already kindly made open-source by the developers? I don't see much sense at this, lol) (1/4)
My idea for making my own VC channels of GB, GBC, GBA, and other uninjectable systems and games was using homebrew emulators as base, but since i'm not an expert coder for that, i used emulators which were already compatible with meta.xml arguments for autoload a game on startup, like the VC works. (2/4)
After got the emu working with loading only one game and not the menu, i combined it with a forwarder with a VC style and it worked fine, while it's not exact like you guys did, it was fine for me.
(Take a look at this tutorial https://gbatemp.net/threads/602640 if you're interested of what's my method for making my own GBx VC and other console VC stuff, such 32X, N64, etc.) (3/4)
