@Blauhasenpopo there's a bug in their android 12 update where the phone storage keeps getting filled up by system files. You can't remove them without root and OnePlus refuses to fix it, it's been an issue for more than a year now.
The icing on the cake is that the OnePlus 7 finally got the update a couple of days ago, and it still has this bug.
