DOS based Windows: 1, 2, 3, 3.1, 3.11, 95, 98(SE), ME
NT based Windows: 3.1, 3.51, 4, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, 10, 11 (server versions since 2000 kept the year date as name)
What kind of drugs did they take to make them think that this makes any sense? …and more important: Where do I get those drugs?
doesn't help that the version number for windows 8.1 used to be "NT 6.3", and then windows 10 came out and then just went to "NT 10.0", and then just went to "1511" after like 4 updates.
