I changed mine back to my OG(ish) name as tribute to the progress I’ve made and my happiness in my identity. It’s a long story that’s kind of told through my blog posts over the years. Plus, I really needed a username that didn’t turn out to be my legal name

I very much do not like the username change option that comes with XF2. however, I'm willing to accept it knowing the alternative were people deleting their accounts entirely to make new identities. This place lives and dies on its community. Might as well keep people happy.

@Chary I actually like the compromise that was made for the name changes. Keeping a history and setting a time limit between changes definitely helps avoid confusion and other issues. I am in the boat that users really should have the power to change their name. People change over time and often their online handles change with them.
