Interesting @Nikokaro .
May I ask:

You too gave up on material/banal growth over personal/spiritual growth?

I have always been torn between conflicting tendencies. It's a long story. If you're interested PM me anytime. Do you know others with the same problem?

It's hard for me to understand "Conflictive Tendencies" as an idea.
You mean that you manifest interest in current problems, and that interest evolves as the tendency evolves?

I don't know others with this same problem because for me, being nearly totally introvert, produces me little interest in most things.

I mean: one part of me pushes me towards negative emotions, possessiveness, gluttony, arrogance, selfishness, lust etc; the other, strengthened by discipline, meditation, Kung Fu, mindfulness tends to detachment from materialism, in view of my spiritual perfection and the next reincarnation.😇

Well that sounds like anybody else.
I mean, of course, we could try to get rid of such bad emotions/attitudes.

But that'd be the same as denying our very own nature.

I personally cherish individualism and people that doesn't try to fit in.

That it affects everyone I don't think so. If anything, the majority live following their passions and that's it, without the slightest interest in religion and human improvement.:teach:

But individualism and passion are personal and totally different things in my opinion.
For many years, thinking, came to the personal conclusion that the point of living is to find your passion. And once you've found your passion, you've found the meaning of your life.

Religion is something man made. We could totally debate about it, but won't change my opinion that Religion is by all means a primitive way to control people.

Think it like this: Religious people are good because they're good people? Or because they're afraid to commit Sins?

Well that's something totally "personal" (by "personal" meaning that it's my point of view)
My admiration for women got strongly and mostly developed by my "Artistic Education"

I use Women as a source of inspiration and admiration.
Women are muses to me. Drawing and painting taught me to perceive everything by means of values, symmetry, proportions, and more technical stuff.
