Like, you beat the Puppet Master, in the Demon Guest House, in the top left part of the map. Where are you supposed to go next? All the way down to the bottom right!
How the Hell are you supposed to know that? The game never tells you that.

If I didn't have a list of bosses and an actual full map, I never would've finished Aria of Sorrow, or gotten so far through Dawn (haven't finished it yet).
I get the whole appeal is exploration, but come on, it gets tedious after a while when you don't know where to go.

It is also a bit of memorizing while exploring. Remember *where* and *what* blocked you at various points. Then ask yourself the question: "Where could the ability gained after a bossfight be helpful?"
I have to admit that I enjoy Metroidvania style games more on subsequent playthroughs than on the first time.

I've the maps of the sorrow games mostly memorized and the only annoying part is the soul harvesting. *Looking at you: |The Creature| and |Peeping Eye|*
