Also, a 3DS could have multiple different towns, if you had multiple carts and digital - something the Switch cannot do.

And NH's multiplayer is just inherently borked, in that P2 onwards has practically zero say on how the island's developed. This was acceptable in NL, because only P1 could become "Mayor", but as I understand it there is no similar title given to P1 in NH, yet the mechanics...

still remain anyway for whatever reason. Because of these two issues, any couple or family interested in the game would need to buy *multiple consoles* in order to not feel worthless, y'know? If a Switch could have multiple towns, this would be instantly resolved, yet...no.

Good points. They could actually make the game much better with big updates but I doubt that's happening.
