How do you... beat them so fast?

A week isn't so bad. I usually blast through them in 3-day bursts. The games are like 14 hours at the most, 3 being the longest yet.

Legit cried at the ending of 3. So well done. I can't wait to see where 4 goes. 1 is still my favorite, but these have all been amazing.

Haha, yeah, I hear V's open nature makes it like triple the length of most MGS games. I'm still a bit off from that one, though! Peace Walker is after this, then Ground Zeroes, then Phantom Pain

Wanna know how long 5 took me? Around 40 to 50 hours. 100% took an additional 20 hours.

Btw, how are you playing the games? The original versions? HD Remasters?

1 was Integral on PC, 2+3 were Xbox HD Collection, 4 PSNOW via PC, PW via PSNOW, GZ/PP via Steam.

Not bad, I played MGS1 via the PSN version on the PS3 then the remake, 2+3+PW were on the Xbox through the remasters, 4 was on the PS3, and GZ/TPP was also on the Xbox One.

Hey are you not gonna bother with the two awesome MSX games and the two terrible NES games? Oh and I almost forgot about Ghost Babel which was also rather awesome.

NES games can go to the trash for all I care, not worth anyone's time. And Ghost Babel is a spin-off, so not part of the main series, even if it was pretty fun. But yeah, maybe show the MSX some love after Phantom Pain? 3 HD has both games if you want to play them.

It's not really a spin off as such more that it's simply not set in the mainline continuity, but instead it takes place in an alternative continuity set seven years after the events of the original Metal Gear

True enough, but the main point is that it's fun. The best 2D gameplay in the series bar none, even if the story ends on a massive cliffhanger.

My friend and I ended up watching the MSX games via YouTube rather than play them ^^;

Welp, I guess that works for now. You should still play them though, they are pretty fun even today.
