I've said this before, but 35th Anniversary year and all...I don't want Legend of Zelda to become another goddamn Pokémon, in that game quality is no longer a prime concern and can be sacrificed since the brand alone will sell. Skyward Sword was at least mostly faithful to its traditional roots, despite the bullshit motion controls and stamina and Pouch and shield fragility.

Breath of the Wild took two of the worst aspects of SS, and placed a band-aid on one (stamina upgrades, which comes at the cost of no upgraded health) and made the other even worse; it made Hyrule completely unmemorable and unlikeable by making it a barren wasteland, and focused far too much on exploration without implementing map markers to make it tolerable. WORST LoZ GAME. Potential downfall of the series. 3/10.

In my opinion, Twilight Princess is THE best 3D Zelda game due to the memorable version of Hyrule, great Wolf gameplay, Hidden Skills, and being a blast to play from start to finish, along with having very few frustrating parts. The Wind Waker HD's below that, due to not having Hidden Skills and most of its world being water, though it's still great fun.

Majora's Mask is next - as @RichardTheKing wrote, the Moon is horribly designed, though pretty much everything else is great.
So if a new game is announced, it should be designed in the mould of these three awesome games, rather than Halitosis of the Wild.

Last comment: I don't even like Ocarina of Time much (slow, boring, why do Ice Arrows exist?), but I'd definitely put that above Breath of the Wild any day of the week, since it doesn't have any player-hostile mechanics and has a decent mix of story, world traversal and dungeons.
BotW is undoubted superior in terms of visuals and tech, but playing it fucking SUCKS compared to OoT.

I think the Mister is cool and all, but honestly I have seen some video's exploring the difference between hardware and software emulation and the advantages of both.... I would pick software over FPGA, wouldn't mind some sort of hybrid approach but I can only imagine how complex that would be and how expensive.
