For real? Because I've had my modmic 5 for about 2.5 years, rigged onto my headset using a custom adapter I made to keep everything on a single TRRS cable, and it's been a champ this entire time.
I know they've changed their design a few times over the years, but what part is broken? Modmic 5 for example has a short tail that comes off of the actual mic that's intended to be plugged into an included extension cable. Handy with a soldering iron, able to cut out the bad part of the cable and make a repair?
