What did you expect really? Original XBox and PS2 use IDE drives, aka ancient technology that's slow AF, SD cards are at least twice as fast even when not class 10 (a class 6 is almost twice as fast as IDE for reference):P

PS: If you know what you are doing, it's even possible to convert the master cable into SATA to use normal HDDs or even SSDs, but those won't be at full speed.

well to clarify i have done that before i am experiencing no timeout issues at boot (thats pretty common with SATA to IDE adapters and have to use certain bioses to avoid timeout issues on 1.0 - 1.1 xboxes. This thing is is blasting through and booting fast :P. You are right though, sometimes its hard to grasp how much things have changed in 15 years. my age is showing T_T

Meh, knowing about IDEs is pretty cool stuff though, most people have gotten so used to SATA they forgot how IDE teaches you component dependability (eg: Master/Slave where you need Master to use a Slave) and you can do some cool shit with those concepts even in this day and age! And for the record, I'm 23 but have a ridiculous amount of IDE experience, 15 years is nothing for tech!

Heh, that MicroSD will become useless if you keep on playing, Xbox uses 3 partitions as swap partitions, data gets written to it quite often
