I am going to challenge myself to add one line of code to this thing today. If I do this every weekend I should be able to finish it by summer '26. Also note that I dont fully know what this will be, lol.

You could always put up a kickstarter if you need funding for making a game. Unless this isn't that serious of a project.
I dunno, 4 years is pretty dedicated, but are you trying to make a fully publishable game, or is just just a fun side hobby for you?It's in its 4th year of "development."What do you think?
I started my test cartridge 5 years ago, and it's still just a side hobby for me. And free.

projects never really finish but if you keep them simple you can release a few builds. that are playable.
