Father Ted is barely funny. Mandy and Car Share are better
 
I bought a Directv account for like 3 dollars a few months ago for my parents, as they like live TV. I tried using the account on my phone, and I couldn't last 15 minutes, as the commercials drove me nuts. lol
 
Big Bang Theory was funny in the beginning, afterwards it was kind of hit and miss, there were times it was funny and times it wasn't.
Generally, I find Jimmy funny, but as with all comedy there are times it works and times that it doesn't. As far as late night shows go, I personally prefer Stephen Colbert, wouldn't say he's funnier, but I like his performance more, so it's sad to see him go.

Jimmy Kimmel Live this is the first time watching him as it had matt stone and trey parker . but even that he can point some thing out or say whats going on and people cry laughing . i man gave him a cup omg so funny ... like are there even fans of this ? makes me wonder why they keep it going for so long and stop real funny shows or good shows that have fans . some canceled shows its like why its got like 9 out of 10 on imdb so much people like it and want more/proper end yet pull plug and keep bad shows going

Kimmel monologues yes, its generally good intelligent comedy and satire, like Colbert.

Big Bang Theory (saw it all) its funny if you don't really think about the fact that it started by making fun of introverts, neurodivergent and basically nerds and geek culture.

I have watched a few episodes of Big Bang Theory... I couldn't take it with the laugh track, it's so stupid, it's at the end of every sentence even when nothing funny is going on. I wonder what kind of drugs the idiots that edit that shit is on.

I also got kinda mad when people I know are intelligent liked that show... that's none of my business, I rarely ruin peoples fun, and I don't ciritizise them for it. But I lose some respect for the person, how could you not?

Jimmy Kimmel I haven't seen in a very long time, usually it's from clips and just an interview or something, not even the good talk shows are that good though (Conan and Letterman are the two I've seen complete shows of), so how bad can it be? I don't know.

I know that comedy and stuff is mostly a personal taste...some people like chocolate, others don't...but ngl, Kimmel's bit on Trump signing the "Retreat-y of Versailles" was spit-my-coffee out funny.

 
BBT was solid earlier, got over played out in time.
Kimmel same, before he went to late night, now like the rest are just a bunch of unfunny political hacks who forgot to stick to entertainment and humor not social issues and politics which will piss off at least half the audience. There's enough trolls online, don't need to sit through commercials late night to see an overpaid one. Johnny Carson had it right in the day.

Oh man, I got a nostalgia trip from this topic.

I remember when The Big Bang Theory was set to air. The ads used a lukewarm joke about Alzheimer's and I thought, "this is the best they got?" The episodes I saw, like the main guy Sheldon eating hot dogs and mac & cheese while listening to Super Mario Bros and main guy Sheldon deciding on a PS4 or an XBone, didn't make me a believer. None of this is an insult to the show, though. I'm cool if you absolutely adore The Big Bang Theory and have all 12 12 seasons (I guessed it right!) on DVD/Blu-Ray. Maybe I just didn't see its best material, so I never got initiated.

I'm not sure what to make of Jimmy Kimmel Live. I'm like a few of you, I stopped watching TV around the mid-2010's. I used to really like Jimmy Kimmel. He was a nice alternative to Jay Leno. (I'll always be a fan of Jay Leno, and I recommend looking up some of his headlines clips for a good laugh.) It was nice to see a late night comedian doing some jokes that included references from my generation. I never watched his other stuff, like The Man Show, but I recall tuning into Jimmy Kimmel regularly and wondering why I hadn't heard of him before.

I liked bits like Uncle Frank (May he rest in peace) getting hit by CG busses. Guillermo's Hollywood Roundup wasn't funny, but I liked the mainstays of the bit, like zooming into his face or having the lasso lazily float in the air. His show succumbed to the same faults as Jay Leno, like being waaay too scripted and forced. (Aunt Chippy was only funny, when she was authentically mad.) What's really strange is that the show stopped being live, but it never dropped that part of the title. People say pre-beard Jimmy Kimmel is the best, and based on the changes I described, I'll go with that.
