The authors of the SEGAGAGA AI translation will be eating dust now! Even more so after Hilltop himself ranted about them when that patch came out!

I dunno, i have to say, i would have preferred a human translation for SegaGaGa, but im happy there is ANY kind of translation now. Definitely preferit to the decades without any way to play it at all

Everybody would have preferred a human translator to AI, not just you.

Am i the only one who thinks this translation is not as good as people are acting like it is? I remember when everyone was like "omg its coming out" and someone did an interview on kataku (the actual hacker ill call esper did 99% of the hacking and he retired). So no clue who was giving the interview talking about how difficult it was to hack. would have preferred to hear from esper the actual hacker who did 99% of the work. The 1% the other guy worked on was some audio subtitles or some nonsense.

Anyway after all the wait and hoopla the game comes out and all i hear is crickets.....I think people heard the word "rpg" and another word "translation" years ago and got excited but had 0 knowledge on said game. so it gets released and no one is playing it cause they dont understand it. lol. One person who tried it says she had to stop playing because she felt nausea. all the awkward movement got her sick. This is why games have warning signs like those strobe light warnings you see sometimes.

Im the first one to say "wow we missed out on this. wish we could get this in english" when i see an interesting rpg in japanese. This is one of the few times where i see why they never brought this one to the states. The american audience would not have enjoyed it. Its extremely awkward. we are talking 4 discs of awkward. let that sink in.

@iamatmylimit well, it IS a bit too weird for general consumption.
This isnt exactly Final Fantasy 9.
I cant blame people for being turned off by it, but im sure there are plenty of people who like it BECAUSE its quirky and not despite of it being quirky.

Quirky or not, at least there's no AI used here.
If that was the only option... id take it.
If someone released a fantranslation of twilight syndrome, exclusively using AI and i had to let them spit in my mouth to play it... id let them.
