I recently modded my Gen 1 Switch. I'm new to Switch modding, although I have already modded other Nintendo consoles. I followed the NH Switch Guide, meaning I'm using Hekate and Atmosphere. CFW is working just fine on my emuNAND, and I can open the homebrew menu and use the pre-installed apps. But when it comes to anything else I've tried installing, it doesn't work at all. NSPs don't download on Goldleaf or on Awoo Installer, I didn't manage to install Tinfoil, and RetroArch just crashes when I try to load a core. When I try to do these things, the applications freeze up, crash straight to the main screen, or give very generic error messages. I also modded it twice, by the way, because I thought it might be good to just try once again from the beginning.

After some digging, I came to the conclusion that my Switch version might be too new. I'm on 21.2.0, and if I'm not mistaken, it didn't come out too long ago, so no app really supports it. I tried downgrading the firmware with Daybreak, but it just leads to the same issues and is not recommended, as I understand. I would be glad if someone could tell me if this is really the problem and how I can directly install a more compatible version when modding my Switch. Also, could anyone tell me what sigpatches are? I've tried installing a sigpatch, but I don't really know if I did it right, and I also don't really understand what the purpose of them is.

Atmosphere and Hekate support for 21.2.0 was added about 2 weeks ago so other apps might still need to catch up.
But 21 has been out for a while so 21.2.0 will probably work fine with most apps.

Sigpatches don't have effect on downloading or installing NSPs.
If you get errors there, then it is something else.

If you installed overlays or mods, just try installing only Hekate and Atmosphere to see if things work fine.

Check if you blanked your serial number/PRODINFO.
Recent versions of Atmosphere do not allow that anymore and can crash whenever you try to use Wifi.

Other things to check is the SD card.
Hekate shows some basic information.
Were you using it before without any problems?
See if you can use the SD card in the OFW by taking some screenshots and see if you can transfer them to a PC.

So when i go to settings and have a game running atmosphere crashes always here is the error code 2181-4008 (0x1f50b5)
