Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness now available via Nintendo Switch Online

After being teased in the initial trailer for the GameCube Classics app and formally being announced to release in March during last month's Pokemon Day festivities, Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness has just launched on the Nintendo Switch 2 for those subscribed to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Those who have recently picked up the Nintendo Switch releases of Pokemon FireRed and LeafGreen will be disappointed to hear there is no GBA connectivity, with Pokemon caught in this game not being able to be brought into other titles. Regardless, it remains a fantastic standalong experience that is worth a try if you've happened to have overlooked it and have an active subscription.

Its predecessor Pokemon Colosseum is yet to receive a formal release date, though was also featured as a part of the initial GameCube Classics app announcement.

I know it *officially* doesn't support transferring but that's not going to stop me from recreating my team in pkhex on a 3DS game and transferring them up that way. Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.

I JUST HOPE THIS CAUSES THE VALUE OF THE GAMECUBE GAME TO CRASH PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!
You can keep hoping, but this is just a rental, it's not a physical port or reprint. Knowing Nintendo they'd make it limited edition just to mess with customers FOMO.

Any movement on the price of the physical disk? Always interested to see how NSO releases affect the OG hardware prices.
