"Embers of Mana" romhack by Ok Impala! releases today



A month ago we covered an upcoming romhack for Final Fantasy Adventure on the Game Boy titled "Embers of Mana", which was being developed at the time, and today, the romhack finally releases.

Developed by @Ok_Impala, who has also previously worked on original story romhacks Zelda II - Amida's Curse and Super Mario Kart - Epic Racers, releases his newest romhack titled "Embers of Mana", an unofficial fan-made sequel to the original Seiken Densetsu game on Game Boy, known as Final Fantasy Adventure in the US and Mystic Quest in Europe, with this title being is effectively the first in the Mana series.

Those interested in trying out the romhack can do so right now by downloading the patch from Romhacking.net, with the download including the inventory lists and maps of the dungeons and world.
Additionally, those interested in the original soundtrack of the romhack can listen to it directly from SoundCloud too!
Lastly, OK Impala also offers both the box and cart art of the romhack, for those that like to keep all their games with proper corresponding art.

Great to this promising hack finally released. I thought it was supposed to be colorized ? Did they abandon the colorization at some point ?
A DX version will be released in the future. That will be a while though, that's why I decided to release the DMG version first.
 
That's amazing!
You should leave the DX version like 6 years for a really genuine experience 😘
Maybe add a colour themed dungeon and game boy printer compatibility? 😏

it looks like it could be fun but until there is a colorized model alot of the effort is going to waste. not many people are going to play it when its not colorized
 
sadly romhacks cannot be sold
this is one of the rare cases where i really would like a box and printed map, like i had from mystic quest (aka final fantasy adventure in europe) 35 years ago.
